Each law firm selected KwikTag Legal in order to optimize enterprise scanning and integrate scanning activities with facilities management services.

As more and more law firms strive to reduce paper filing costs and inefficiencies, firm-wide scanning is becoming a priority. KwikTag Legal, an enterprise scan capture solution, combines simplicity and productivity for managing incoming paper documents digitally. KwikTag Legal enables integrated profiling-scanning with document management and practice management software, batch scanning at any scan device, records policy application and paper retirement strategies. Facilities management companies can fill the labor and expertise gap for production scanning, quality assurance, records compliance and paper retirement services.

Under the facilities management model, KwikTag Legal law firm users profile incoming paper documents directly into their document management solution, and tag the document with a KwikTag bar code label. Tagged paper documents are placed into a folding out basket called a KwikBasket. KwikBaskets are picked up for scanning by the facilities management company. Immediately after scanning, images are available from the document management or practice management system. The firm can use its facilities management service provider to operate the KwikTag Legal system, performing system administration and back room activities such as bulk scanning, backfile conversions, quality controls, and paper retirement.
